The Sales Evangelist – Donald Kelly

Ever since I can remember, whenever I found something of value I always wanted to share it. Naturally, over the years I gravitated toward a career where I could do that for a living—yup, you guessed it right: “Sales”. From selling cookies in my front yard as a kid to selling highly sophisticated software service, I have shared a lot of value and assisted many individuals. Over the years, however, I have learned a great deal about sales or “value sharing” that has helped me to become a top performer. If I knew then what I know now, I could have saved a lot of time, presented value a lot better and increased my success ratio much sooner.

 

This is one of the main reasons why I started doing “The Sales Evangelist” podcast. I wanted to evangelize the skills I learned to sales professionals and entrepreneurs who were frustrated with their current performance, disappointed in the lack of training that their company offers and sick of the ineffective information old school sales training offers. I wanted to help these individuals find the light and achieve a top producer status. Creating the podcast was also a means to sharpen my own sales skills. With each interview I do with a top marketer or sale experts, I inevitably soak in the advice and put it to work.

In order to launch the podcast, it took months of preparation, from receiving training on how to produce a show to finding and getting experts to agree to come on the show. To get help, I sought after advice from mentors and spent late nights, weekends and early mornings doing the things needed to produce a quality broadcast.

 

It has been over a month since the podcast launched and we have over 8,000 downloads worldwide. The coolest part is when listeners reach out to me and share how much value they are getting out of the episodes. It is cool to see the change in their lives and their excitement as they develop themselves into top performers.

As the show grows, we plan to make it even better by sharing more value. Later this year, we will release a cost effective online training course and one on one coaching, offer workshops and continue to take advantage of public speaking opportunities. Great things will happen as we all continue to share value!
